How to care for Philodendron Billietiae
- Light: Bright, indirect light. Avoid harsh midday sun, which can scorch the leaves; variegated forms need brighter light to keep their colour.
- Water: Water when the top 2–3 cm (about 1 inch) of the mix is dry. Never leave the pot standing in water.
- Humidity & temperature: Ideally 60% or higher; most tolerate 50% once acclimatised. Keep at 18–30 °C (65–85 °F).
- Soil: Chunky, well-draining aroid mix (orchid bark, perlite and coco coir or peat). Climbing types grow larger leaves on a moss pole.
- Note: Contains calcium oxalate; keep away from pets and small children.
