The leaves of Platycerium Ridleyi have a distinctive shape, resembling the antlers of a stag or developing antlers. The leaves can be divided into two main types: sterile fronds (covering leaves) that encircle the roots and fertile fronds (reproductive leaves) that develop to produce spores. The size of this plant can vary depending on growing conditions. Staghorn ferns can typically reach a diameter of several feet, depending on factors such as age and care. Platycerium Ridleyi generally requires special care. They thrive in high humidity and reduced light conditions. Ideally, the plant should be placed in a location protected from direct sunlight.
The plant grows well in a substrate rich in fibers, such as a mix of sawdust and moss.
